This is a 3.5" x 2.5" Orthodox (Greek/Russian?) style icon, most likely a repro of a larger work sold for the tourist trade. It has a round loop for hanging. It has a handwritten note on the back, "Lindos Rhodos, June 1972". The painting is of the Madonna & Child.
