This pretty bread plate is hand painted with yellow flowers and a cream color butterfly in a blue sky. It has the initials EB at the top corner - this may be the initials of an artist working for the manufacturer, or this may be a plate which was mass-produced for customers to paint at home. It has a "flower" makers mark showing it was made in Japan. There are some "flea bite" indents that appear to be from manufacturing, and are not chips in the glaze.
