This nice light blue color pottery jug is marked with "509", and has great multiple shades of blue in the glaze. It appears to be an Uhl brand (Evanston, Indiana) pottery jug. This company closed in 1940, so this jug would be dated prior to that time. The pottery is hand made, so there are slight imperfections which simply add to the charm of this piece, but no damage/chips and cracks.
