This gorgeous salad/bread plate is marked "Japan" and was most likely produced in the 1950s - 1960s. It appears to be hand-painted and features two beautiful red birds in a tree with green & blue leaves and purple berries. There are no chips or cracks, and minimal wear to the design/glaze. This is a nice example of mid-century hand-painted porcelain, and would be a great gift for any bird lover!
