This vintage trivet plate was designed by Georges Briard and has a checkerboard design in gold/gilded paint in the center. The design was called "Golden Celeste". The checkerboard center and the outside rim both have a variety of symbols (harp, sun, wreath, etc), and the non-gilded sections are a textured glass. This item is in good condition, with no chips or cracks. There is some paint loss to the gilded sections.
