This interesting souvenir saucer/tea plate features a drawing which states it is the "Methodist Church, Monroe Iowa", with a gilded scalloped rim. It is marked Wheelock China, Made In Austria, Cowles & Cochrane, Monroe IA. Wheelock imported souvenir plates for many different entities in the midwest between 1890 - 1922. It is in very good condition, with no chips or cracks and minimal crazing.
