This vintage plate & bowl feature an image of a boy in a hunting outfit with a gun and his dog (pulling at the leash). There are images a cloud, a school house, the dog, and the boy on the rim of the plate (which is also gilded). The images on the inner rim of the bowl are similar, but the school house is replaced with a flower and the boy's face is replaced with a running rabbit. It is marked "Shenango China, Newcastle PA". The logo appears to have been used in the 1930s - 1940s, and the item does not have the typical date mark so it was definitely produced before 1950. Both items are free from chips or cracks. The plate has some minor wear to the design in the center, and the bowl has quite a bit of paint loss to the design (these items were obviously used).
